Villa il Pino is a stunning, spacious, 19th-century frescoed villa with breathtaking views, located an hour from Siena and Florence. Its gorgeous details set it apart from other, more rustic villas in the area. You will love the delicate stucco work and charming frescoed ceilings, as well as the unique pieces of period furniture. Recent, careful renovation work has added air-conditioning. All six bedrooms have newly refurbished private bathrooms (5 of them are ensuite). There is also an extra full bathroom.

The Views
The ground floor has a large living space with wide French windows that open directly onto a breathtaking view: the towers of San Gimignano can be seen beyond the rolling hills, covered with a patchwork of green: the vineyards and olive groves that are so quintessential of Tuscany.
The Garden
The avenue that approaches the villa is bordered by a pretty olive grove. The garden has a huge lawn, partly in the sun, and partly shaded by a centuries-old pine tree. Just outside the dining room and sitting room, there is a large shaded patio, with a dining area and chill-out area. There is also a barbecue. The pool area is down a few steps.
The Pool
The rectangular pool is fenced and is on a terrace just below the villa garden, down a few steps. Its position is secluded and it faces south over a breathtaking extension of rolling valleys and hills. It measures 5 x 10 m and its depth varies from 0.60 m (on the side of the steps) to 1.40 m. It uses a salt purification and has both internal and external lighting. The sunbathing area, partly terracotta tiles and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, a shaded gazebo and a cold-water shower.
The Villa
The house has two floors, with a gentle, wide flight of stairs connecting them. It is very spacious: approximately 300 square metres/over 3000 square feet.
There is plenty of space inside, both a comfortable area with sofas and a pleasant dining area. The spacious, newly-renovated kitchen just across the hallway is fully equipped.
There are six double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with shower.
The Area
The villa is located between Florence and Siena, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Italy. As well as seeing the stunning countryside, you can explore the medieval cities in the area, and investigate the regional culinary traditions of great food and wine. The villa is is a few miles outside the medieval town of Certaldo and half an hour away is the little medieval gem of San Gimignano whose towers, which give it the nickname of the Manhattan of the Middle Ages, we can see from the garden.
